We finally got a chance to take advantage of the nice weather and bring Evan to the pool. He loved the water and being out in the warm sunshine. Now, if only we could get him to keep his hat on. 
Evan is excited that the weather is finally looking like summertime! Mommy has all sorts of great adventures planned for him!
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Evan. Happy Birthday to you! Wow, what a year! We can't believe how fast it's gone by. Evan has had so many excellent adventures in his first year with us. And his 1st cake was no exception. He wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but once he got a taste, it was all over! 
With the fabulous warm weather last week, Evan had his first official visit to the park. Official, meaning that he was actually awake and now old enough to try out the swing! He wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but once he got going, he loved it. He also got to go down the slide for the first time. Another excellent adventure for Mr. Evan James!
Mr. Evan James continues to be very mobile these days. He loves cruising the furniture and all around the fence we have up in the living room. He also loves to practice standing on his own and is very proud of himself when he does! His latest favorite thing to do is roll and throw the ball back and forth with Mommy and Daddy. 
Bathtime is one of Evan's favorite activities. He loves playing with his toys and splashing around. He also loves trying to jump out of the tub, so we might have to retire this old duck pretty soon. 
Ok, so we've had teeth for about two months now, but this is the first chance we've had to finally get a picture of them! Evan has been enjoying his two new pearly whites, especially during mealtime. The latest additions to his diet include chicken, cheese and waffles. He's still a little unsure about the cheese (crazy, i know), but everything else we put in front of him, he gobbles up! No signs of top teeth yet, but it should be any day now!
One of Evan's favorite activities is storytime with Mommy and Daddy. He loves the bright colors and especially loves turning the pages. His favorite book of the moment is Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See? He also really enjoys Polar Bear Polar Bear What Do You Hear, Pajama Time and Good Night Moon. We think it's been helping with his vocabulary too, as he's been babbling alot of new sounds lately. 
So, this is Evan's new favorite toy. He loves everything about it... the wheels, the music, the fact he can ride on it! It's been the cause of a few bumps and bruises and of course he's found other ways to land on his head too. We've heard that it's just part of him learning to use his balance, but it's still very hard to watch. He's also using everything he can to pull up and stand... the couch, the gate, his toys. We're sure walking is right around the corner.
